In order to make this strategy happen you’ll need to learn how to use one or two of these platforms below. It’s also worthy to mention that if your just starting out in affiliate marketing, it does require hard work and dedication. In fact, affiliate marketing can be rewarding but, it’s important to note that it’s not a get rich quick scheme as many expert affiliates try to make it seem.

It’s also worth noting that eventually, you will need a website or landing page because, some companies or platforms will not allow you to join their program without a website. Either way, let’s dive in to the various ways that you can start affiliate marketing without a website.

This is probably my most favorite organic traffic source outside of Google. With Pinterest you’ll need to create tons of images because, it is a visual social search engine. On this platform you can discover new ideas, and save them for future use.

With that said you’ll need to stand out and put in a lot of work.

You’ll also have to learn how Pinterest algorithm works because Pinterest is not a social media site.

It’s a search engine like Google.

Don’t believe me, go right over to Pinterest and start using their search bar. 

Either way Pinterest loves images, the more the better. Another interesting fact about Pinterest is, 80% of the users are mothers. 

You can use image creators like Canva, PicMonkey, or Adobe Illustrator, and even Google photos have a collage creator.  You’ll want to create attractive images that are relevant to your niche. This can include product pins, infographics, or inspirational images, just as long as they are related to your target audience.

Step 2: Choose up to 5 affiliate offers

Step 3: Go to Pinterest and create up to 10 categories

Step 4: Make lots of images ( I use 1000*1500)

Step 5: Post those images on Pinterest and include your affiliate link with some.

Be careful not to be spammy, because, Pinterest will suspend your account if you do. 

In fact, from first hand experience, I had started a brand new account. The only thing I was pining was images without no affiliate links or website URL.

On my 3rd day, Pinterest suspended my account. So, I had to dispute the charge – and won!

Yes, that means that Pinterest tried to give me the – boot – but, no worries I wasn’t going out without a fight.

Needless, to say I wrote a long email, explaining my side of the story, and signed the letter as an offended Pinterest lover.  And I got my account back. Hopefully, this does not happen to you but, if it does you can and should dispute the claims.

So, if you have a brand new account here area few tips. 

Do not make changes to your account quickly. Meaning don’t change title names, and URLs or Pinterest will be right over to investigate. 

When posting a description make sure you use keywords and don’t place affiliate links right away. At least give you account a week or two to marinate.

And, if you decide to add an affiliate link before, time, don’t add too many. 

Either way, you gotta love Pinterest. The people on Pinterest have buyer’s intent. You’ll need to niche down and help people within your niche.

In order for this method to work you’ll need a few tools. One of the tools will be a whiteboard animation software.

Step 1: You’ll need to find Topics that relate to your niche and your target audience.

For example, Cryptocurrency. 

If you were going to create a whiteboard video about this topic you would consider making videos with the following titles.

Upload the video to your YouTube channel about Cryptocurrency.

Step 2: Next, write a description within the YouTube description box.

Step 3: Place your affiliate link that relates to your affiliate products and that’s it. However, please note that YouTube does not allow affiliate links in the description of brand new channels. Therefore, you must meet YouTube requirements first. In fact, some of YouTube features require further verification.

Note: You can also go and promote the video that you just made on other platforms such as social media, or your email list to help it gain even more traction. 

The bottom line, affiliate marketing is possible with using YouTube and many other platforms, but I encourage you to watch this video from Mr. Godbolt.

This method may not work with all affiliate programs or affiliate networks.

So, you’ll need to make sure you read the affiliate program rules before attempting to do this method.

Or you could find yourself banned.

Many affiliate programs do not like their affiliates bidding on their brand keywords either.

So, you’ll need to keep that in mind.

With paid traffic, you can purchase paid traffic from Google AdWords or Microsoft Bing and directly link your affiliate link to the traffic that you just purchased. To use, paid traffic, of course you need to have a budget in mind. You’ll also need to learn how to write effective ad costs. In addition to that, it would be good to learn how to lower your cost per click because, if you don’t then you can exhaust your budget entirely.

Step 3: Look for keywords within the Google or Bing keyword tool

Email marketing will require you to have some sort of landing page, and of course an email autoresponder. By the way a landing page, is a single page website which backs up the point that I was making at the beginning of this article. With that said, eventually you will need a website.

Regardless, you can use Google sites to build out a landing page, it’s free. By the way, I’m not sure how Google Sites works with all affiliate programs, because, obliviously I have never applied to every single affiliate program on the planet.

Therefore, you’ll you want to read your affiliate program rules and requirements before proceeding with a Google Site.

Either way, if all else fails, you can invest into a landing page software. 

If you purchase a landing page software, you’ll need a domain name.

Domain names are affordable at NameCheap. I recommend them.

Either way, according to this email statistics report, 2020-2024, email will still be the most pervasive form of electronic communication.

This includes both consumers and businesses. 

Using an email software and landing page can be lucrative if done right.

You can promote your landing page on places like, Pinterest, social media, or you can make videos and attach your link within the description box of the YouTube channel.

Provide a ton of value to your subscribers.

Then sell to them on the back end.

Okay! Some people claim to have success with Craigslist.

I myself, never had luck with it, and I don’t like using this method. 

So, this is why it’s last on my list. Either way, I’ll explain how it works. 

This method is a little tricky, and it may only work if you’re within the work from home or make money online niche. Or the wealth niche. It also works with Real Estate.

As a licensed real estate agent this is what we are taught to use to market our real estate properties. Apparently, it’s a proven method that works for some niches and people.

Nonetheless, I’ll explain it further.

With Craigslist, you’ll be responding to people who are looking for jobs.

So, you’ll have to choose the city or state that you want to work with.

Step 1: Click on the link that says Resume.

It’s located in the bottom left hand corner of Craigslist. 

Step 2: Read through the headlines where people are looking for jobs. Once you feel comfortable reaching out to one of those people, you’ll open up the ad and hit reply to this email. 

Step 3: Grab the email that you need to reply to.

Step 4: Go to your email and write an email reaching out to that person. Again, this method works for some people and for others it doesn’t. 

Below is an example that you can send to the person. 

Again this Craigslist method works for some and for others it may not work.  By the way, you can change the wording to however, you see fit.

I personally, would let them know its not a job, instead its a self employment opportunity paid based on your performance. Also, commission is not guaranteed and requires hard work.

As I mentioned earlier to me, Craigslist is a little misleading but, I have seen some people make it work. Craigslist is similar to an exchange platform, where peer to peer marketplace action is taken.

Even with the free account, you will  be able to customize your Linktr.ee landing page.
